Dear Parade Participant:
The Umatilla Chamber of Commerce would like to extend an invitation to you and your organization to join us for the upcoming 37th annual Cracker Christmas Parade & Festival in Umatilla. The parade is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012. The theme for this year’s parade is “Orange…you glad it’s Christmas! ”.
We would very much like to have your group join us in the parade. We are enclosing a parade entry form. Please complete it and return to the Chamber at the address listed below. To prepare for proper planning of the parade, we ask that you return the completed form to the Chamber by November 30, 2012.
We have many events planned following the parade and would welcome your group to stay and participate in the festivities. We will announce the winners for the parade at 12:00 in Cadwell Park. The judges will choose the “Best” in the following categories:
To help defray the costs of the parade, we are requesting an entry fee of $10 per unit. Please include your check with your completed application. Make the check payable to Umatilla Chamber of Commerce. Motorized parade floats and towing apparatus shall be provided with a minimum 2-A:10-B:C-rated portable fire extinguisher readily accessible to the operator.
